The SOUTH INDIA POSITIVE NETWORK (SIP +) was formed by a group of people living with HIV/AIDS on the 10th October, 2001.
SIP+ is a self-help support group that intends to overcome the constraints and limitations faced by people living with HIV/AIDS in South India. It aims to promote a sense of belonging while also rendering support, service and care.
Established to include everyone, regardless of whether male, female, child, eunuch, CSW and gay, SIP+ brings together communities of people living with HIV/AIDS by facilitating the formation of a state level network.
There are 45 kids presently in the home most of them being adolescent girls, whose future is in question.
Now the home currently is not able to afford food for the kids and the shelter is also in question now as the house owner has asked them to vacate the place. Also, Noori, who is the founder of this home, is not able to support because of her ill-health.
Their current need is...
1. Increase in the advance, 1Lac has to be paid before this month end April 2013.
(Already 1 Lac was paid as advance- So overall advance amount is 2 Lac)
2. Increase in the monthly rent, as of now its 12 K/month, from May month it will be 20 k/month.
Please let me know if someone can provide full support to them in terms of providing food and shelter. It will be very helpful for the kids to lead a normal life.
