PROPOSAL FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DAY CARE CENTRE FOR THE DESTITUTE ELDERS & ADDITIONAL STUDY HALL FOR CHILDREN
[Fund Required: Rs. 8 Lakhs. (Payment Due for the Study Hall1 : Rs, 1.5 Lakhs + The budget of construction of Additional Study Hall and Day Care Centre for destitute elders : Rs.6.5 lakhs.)

New Life Charity Mission (NLCM) doing the social service to the down trodden people at Vellariamman Koil, Walajabad, Kancheepuram District for the past two years. This a registered organization under Income Tax Act, 1961.
Our Motto is “To Sharp Another Man”. According to this, we are working for the School going children, the children those who are not going to school (i.e age between 2- 5 years) and feeding the destitute elders (mid day meal) of this community.
** To provide quality education to the under privileged students by giving them Educational Assistance, with nutritious food, Personality Development class, Extra-curricular activities enabling them to plan their future career in a fruitful way ;
** To provide mid-day nutritious meal and medical help for the destitute elders who have neither capacity nor ability to work or support themselves, and:.
** To provide a stimulating learning environment for the under privileged kids between 2 ½ to 5 years. We awaken the child's spirit and imagination and encourage early habits of observation, curiosity, exploration and self-reliance - providing a strong foundation for future learning habits and resourcefulness.
Need of the study hall & Day Care Centre
Our organization New Life Charity Mission has provided a lot of services to the needy individual right here in our local community in a thatched shed with the measurement of 10 X 15 square feet which is a rented building for the past one and half years. We come across a number of lives of people with various problems such as poverty, bondage, violence, rights violations, health hazards etc., this increases our responsibilities and services towards them.
We have 120 children from U.K.G. to Std., IX. We cannot turn away people who need our services simply because we do not have enough room to accommodate them. Because of this reason, we need to expand our services that will ultimately serve the needs of the community. In order to fulfill the mission, we constructed a study hall with the measurement of 25 X 25 square feet, a kitchen with a measurement of 5 X 4 square feet, a toilet with a measurement of 5 x 3 square feet with stair case and a compound wall, electricity and drinking water connection with a budget of Rs.6.50 lakhs. .Most of the phase1 construction work was over with a due of Rs. 1.5 lakhs.
As there is an increase in the number of beneficiaries in after school program, we have planned to construct a study hall of 600 sft (Phase II) in the first floor. As a part of our objective, we are also planning to construct a Day Care Centre behind the Phase I building ,for the destitute elders which is of 250 sft.
The total budget of this Phase II construction project is estimated to Rs.6.5 lakhs.
This study hall and the Day Care Centre will help us to serve the community fully. We really need your help to solve this problem.

Project 1 School Going children “Nurture Me” : We are giving Education Assistance up to IXStd., We are providing nutritious snacks during the class time, uniform, foot wear, books and note books, school stationaries etc., Nearly 80 children are getting benefits through this project throughout the year. We need Rs.500/- per month per child which includes tuition fee and nutritious snacks.
Project 2: Day Care Centre (Pre School) for the underprivileged kids: In Vellariamman Koil,the children begin their education at the age of 5 . Proper care is not given to these kids because their parents will go out to find jobs for their day today living. So we are planning to take care of these kids by giving basic education, teaching good habits and moral values and developing their innate talents. This project will start from June 2013. We are planning to admit 40 children to this project. We need Rs. 500/- per child per month which includes tuition fee and mid day meal.
Project 3: Old Age Care: Feeding the destitute elders (mid day meal) . The components of our project are: Independence, Participation, Care, Self fulfillment and dignity with the following activities providing mid day meal (nutritious meal), Basic Heal Care, Ophthalmic care, Mobile medical Care and Recreation.
For this we need Rs.1500/- per day for 50 persons which includes nutritious mid day meal.
